So, as I have stated in my previous food posts, not all of these dishes are unique to the country. This is a collection of photos I took of the many different things we found to eat and drink while spending a month in Vietnam in 2017. A lot of the dishes would be considered traditional Vietnamese cuisine, while some are more fusion food or simple street food you would find anywhere. Perhaps the most interesting aspect of eating in Vietnam was watching how the style of food changed as we made our way from the south to the north of the country. Remember that Vietnam was almost two different countries, and perhaps the only remaining divide between the two regions can still be observed in the different food. I was originally going to try and write this post along with the names of the different dishes. However, as is often true in countries like Vietnam, the same dish might have several different names or might be called the same name but be prepared entirely differently. I quickly lost track of what was what and decided I would just let the photos speak for themselves.
